The Procurement Office of the Velocity Interoperability Network today opened supplier registration. Any business or organisation able to supply goods, services or works to the Network may apply. The register opens with 214 suppliers carried over from the approved lists of member organisations during the transition period, of whom 168 have confirmed their details and 46 remain under verification.

Applicants supply proof of their legal status, their tax or business registration number, evidence of insurance, two references from customers of the last three years and a signed declaration. The Office verifies each application within ten working days and, where satisfied, issues a supplier number and lists the supplier in one or more of eight categories of supply. Registration lasts three years and is confirmed annually.

Registration is free of charge and is not a guarantee of work. It entitles a supplier to receive requests for quotations, to respond to any tender published by the Office and to be paid within thirty days of a correct invoice. The application steps, the categories of supply and the grounds on which registration may be refused or withdrawn are set out on the Supplier Registration page of this site.
